Young Shire Council provides
administrative and corporate support to the Young Local Emergency Management
Committee (LEMC). The LEMC is responsible at a local level for the preparation of
emergency plans, the co-ordination of response to, and recovery from emergencies in the Young Shire Local Government Area.
