Council’s Environmental Health Officers manage many aspects of Environmental and Public Health within the Shire.

Council provides services and functions to protect the health of the public and contribute to the wellbeing of the community. Monitoring and inspection programs that are undertaken to help prevent the spread of diseases include;

  • Food Handling
  • Hair, Beauty and Skin Penetration
  • Public Swimming Pools and Spas
  • Regulated systems
  • Complaints investigations and enforcement (nuisance, unkempt, overgrown land, noise and pollution)

Environmental Health Officers also provide advice, educational material and up to date information on best practice techniques and methods to prevent the spread of diseases.

Complaints relating to the above activities as well as vermin infestation and unhealthy premises should be directed to the Environmental and Public Health Team.
